Karl Brown continues to sail through his IT examinations.
The Senior Service Desk Engineer has passed his MS365 Administrator qualification – which consists of three exams: MS100 identity and services; MS101 mobility and security; and SC300 identity and access administrator – all of which need to be passed to achieve the overall qualification.
MS365 Administrator proves that Karl is capable of securing and building proper tenant and access controls and can set up compliance policies which adhere to regulations.
Watchguard Network Security Essentials
He has also achieved his Watchguard Network Security Essentials exam, which tests his knowledge of administering networks, links for B2B admin without physical connections, and scaling networks with Watchguard network control.
He said: “This knowledge gives an additional layer of security to a network to ensure both inbound and outbound are monitored and proxied and secure transition.”
Karl, who has been at Holker for seven years after starting at the company as an apprentice, is now studying for his Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) exam – the gold standard network exam in the industry. The certification is Cisco recognised and will prove he knows and understands the complexity of networks.
The final exam, which will take approximately four hours, will verify that he can administer all networks, and faults and scale networks accordingly. He hopes to sit the exam early in the new year.
They said: “It’s fulfilling to be able to do the exams with Holker. There’s a lot of knowledge I’ve learnt that’s transferred to my work at Holker.
“I have watched Holker grow. I’ve worked at all of the offices, seen Holker acquire other companies and recruit and train new staff. It’s interesting to see how the company has grown and adapted to the customer’s changing needs.”
