Haworths Chartered Accountants.
One of the North West’s premier accountancy practices with an expanding client base throughout East and North Lancashire, North Yorkshire, Craven and the Lune Valley. With headquarters in Accrington and regional offices in Settle and Bentham, Haworths represents many of the region’s acclaimed owner-managed businesses alongside some prestigious corporate company names. Haworths core work is the preparation of statutory annual accounts, audit work and tax returns, but the firm also specialises in tax planning, corporate finance, wealth management, (through their sister company Haworths Financial Services Limited) and business development.
To install a high-quality managed print and copying service, networked across the three office of Haworths in Accrington, Settle and Bentham.
The firm was considering a change of supplier and, as we were a client with a managed print division, they underlined their policy of reciprocating business wherever possible. They made it clear, however, that they would require an enhanced package, not only through improving the equipment, but also the general efficiency of the service, the quality and speed of operation and the on-going support. They emphasised the need for the highest levels of document presentation as much of the printed matter would be going out externally to clients. Haworths also wanted all staff to have their individual computers linked directly with the main printer/copier function.
We put a lot of demand on copying and printing, with quite an extensive document management and scanning operation running day-to-day. That applies particularly across our financial services department. Much of the initial literature from financial and investment companies used to arrive in hard copy form, but that changed a couple of years ago. Our financial team is very keen that any work should be presented in a professional manner, hence the need for printing and copying to be top quality. Holker IT listened carefully to our needs and then came up with a solution. In truth, there were a few teething problems and it took a while for everything to settle, but the help and service during that period from Holker IT could not be faulted. We have the equipment (three machines in total) on a lease and support contract and find that works well. A welcome bonus has been financial; our printing and copying costs are significantly down – probably by as much as 30% year-on-year – which is always going to please an accountancy practice!Helen Moorby
